Electronic Waste Recycling

Recycling electronic waste is no longer a choice. It is to become clear that if we don't do it, we risk the future of our loved ones. We can't deny the fact what the government is doing for recycling. Handing out grants to enhance recycling incentives is a good gesture. But at what costs? We all know what will happen.

Just look at Brazen. It exaggerated its chemical process for recycling plastic. And guess what, it became clear that it was smoke and mirrors. That is what happens when recyclers are not properly checked for their process. That is something you won’t get with Recycle Technologies.

A Certified Recycler

Our entire process from top to bottom is vetted, and we are fully certified. Being a certified recycler has its benefits and zero drawbacks. Unlike other recyclers that are great on paper, we are fully committed to our endeavors. Our Zero Pledge to Landfills stays intact. This might be a dream for some but, in fact, this is as real as it can be. We as a company know that sending waste to landfills is not only dangerous but irresponsible.

As fall approaches, so does the festive season. Black Friday is only a month away, and already we are thinking which electronics to get. But we have no clue what to do with our old electronics. The sensible thing would be to opt for electronic recycling. Instead, we will hoard them or throw them in the trash. Keep in mind that you may be charged for throwing electronics in trash. So, your options may be limited.

Why China is Far Ahead In Electronic Waste Disposal Than We Are?

As for China, we are still relying on EV (Electric Vehicle) batteries created by them. Now you may ask yourself why we rely on other nations for resources. The simple answer is that our own are expensive. Countries like China have strong e-waste disposal allow that helps them manufacture products at 1/3rd of the cost. They recycle their EV batteries and E-waste. Which in turn fuels their circular economies. This helps them to create newer and better electronics such as EV batteries.

The only way we can stop reliance on Chinese made EV batteries is strengthening our e waste disposal. We need policies that help us recycle, reuse and reduce e- waste. It might come as a shock to you but only half the states have mandatory regulations that ban e-waste from entering landfills.

Here are all the states that have zero electronic waste laws.

  • Montana
  • Idaho
  • Wyoming
  • North Dakota
  • South Dakota
  • Nebraska
  • Iowa
  • Colorado
  • Kansas
  • Nevada
  • Arizona
  • New Mexico
  • Arkansas
  • Louisiana
  • Mississippi
  • Alabama
  • Georgia
  • Florida
  • Tennessee
  • Kentucky
  • Ohio
  • New Hampshire
  • Massachusetts
  • Delaware

These are all the states that are leading the front when it comes to damaging our environment. Zero E-waste laws suggest that all electronic waste enters landfills. The contamination is common. This is the main reason our e-waste recycling efforts are so low. And why do we rely on mining of resources instead of reclaiming resources?

The Numbers Do Not Lie

We need to advocate more about the dangers of electronic waste. Studies have shown that around 85% are not aware how much damage e-waste poses, or they simply don't care. E-waste is the most toxic waste streams. The main goal of this article is to give you an insight that if we do not do our part, no one is going to do it for us.

Our Newly Developed Mail-In Program

That is why Recycle Technologies, a leading Midwest certified recycling company, is your choice when it comes to recycling e-waste. Our newly developed Mail-in program allows you to recycle your electronics in the comfort of your home. You can browse all the recycling kits that you may need. We would recommend investing in safety equipment when handling broken glass. The cut-off gloves supply practical protection.

Final Thoughts

I cannot stress this further enough. But if you want the future for your children to remain green. Stop throwing electronics in trash and start recycling. It is all about what is justified. Environmental disasters will get common and to avoid them, it would be wise on your part to recycle your electronic waste.

If you still feel that they mean something to you. In that case, we would recommend that you dispose of the power unit. The batteries in these electronics have hazardous chemicals that can pose an elevated risk to you and your family. Stop them from becoming a danger by recycling through us. We can provide you with peace of mind by recycling electronics for you.
